How fees work
What sets the fee, and what you hear before you start.
Insurance we work with
We bill most PPO plans directly and are out of network with other plans. We do not bill Medicare or Medicaid from this office, and we say so before the visit if you have one.
Most PPO plans: billed to your plan
Other plans: out of network
Medicare and Medicaid: not billed here
If you pay yourself
Your fee depends on the kind of visit and how long it lasts. Each fee is given to you in writing before you start, and you pay at the end of the visit. HSA and FSA cards work.
Set by the kind of visit and its length
Given in writing before you start
Paid at the end of the visit
Receipts for reimbursement
After a visit you can ask for an itemized receipt (a superbill) with the date, the kind of visit and a diagnosis code, to send to your plan. The code is one your insurer will see. Your plan decides whether it reimburses anything and how much, so ask it before you start.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost before it starts. We send one in writing before your first visit. If a final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
Your rights, at cms.gov/nosurprisesChecking your benefits
Before your first visit our front desk checks your plan's mental health benefits and tells you what it finds: whether the visit is covered and whether a copay or deductible applies. You can also call the number on your card first.
What the first visit includes
The first visit is a 60-minute evaluation with one prescriber: a conversation, a review of what you take and a written plan. Follow-up visits are shorter. Either can be in person in Henderson or by video if you are in Nevada.

Can I be reimbursed with a superbill?

How do fees work, and can I use an HSA or FSA card?
The fee depends on the kind of visit and how long it lasts, and it is given to you in writing before you start. You pay at the end of the visit, and HSA and FSA cards work.
